These settings provide the export defaults. Your document can still define its own print CSS.

Your paginated document preview will appear here.

Convert a complete HTML document to a paginated PDF directly in your browser. Your source stays on your device: Foxipa does the pagination and PDF generation locally, without a server or Node.js runtime.

Build a PDF from HTML and CSS

Paste a complete HTML document into the editor, import an .html file, or start with the example. The preview uses the same paged-document model as export, so page breaks, margins, headings, tables, and print CSS are visible before you download the PDF.

Use the page settings to choose paper size, orientation, and margins. Your document can still provide its own @page rules when you need more control; the tool settings are applied as the export defaults.

Browser-only PDF generation

The conversion runs locally in your browser. Foxipa does not upload your HTML to a conversion server, and the exported PDF is created as a real PDF rather than a screenshot of the page. Text remains selectable and searchable, while CSS paged-media features can control how content flows across pages.

For safety, executable scripts and embedded frames are removed from the export document. External stylesheets and images may still be loaded by the browser when their URLs permit it.

HTML documents can use normal print-oriented CSS such as @page, break-before, break-after, break-inside, counters, and print media rules. Vivliostyle is used for pagination because its browser engine is designed around paginated HTML/CSS rather than screen screenshots.

Privacy and limitations

The tool is designed for client-side conversion, but a browser still applies its normal resource and security rules. Very large documents can require substantial memory, and resources that cannot be loaded by the browser cannot appear in the exported PDF.
