Overview

Foxipa is a public technology-learning website. This policy describes the information the site currently handles when you visit and use it.

Foxipa does not currently provide user accounts, subscriptions, payments, or a server-side learner profile.

Information handled by the site

Server requests

Like other websites, the web server may receive technical information needed to deliver a request, such as an IP address, request time, requested URL, browser information, and related connection data. Server logs are controlled by the hosting environment.

Local browser storage

Some learning functionality stores learner progress in your browser’s local storage, using keys that begin with foxipa:learning-progress: (one per technology track). This information is kept on your device and is not currently sent to a Foxipa application server. Clearing your browser’s site data can remove it.

The Web Playground additionally stores your editor settings and workspace layout preferences, using storage keys that begin with foxipa:web-playground:, so your setup is restored on your next visit. Like learner progress, this information stays on your device and is not sent to a Foxipa application server.

Your chosen theme and light/dark mode preference is also stored locally, under foxipa.appearance.v1, so the site keeps your chosen appearance across visits. It is a display preference only: it contains no browsing history and is not sent to a Foxipa application server. Clearing your browser’s site data resets the appearance to the site default.

Fonts

Foxipa currently loads the Inter and JetBrains Mono fonts from Google Fonts. Loading these resources requires requests to Google’s servers. Google handles those requests under its own privacy practices.

Analytics and tracking

Foxipa uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed and how the site is used. Google Analytics is provided by Google and processes analytics data under Google’s own privacy practices.

The Google tag may use analytics-related cookies and similar identifiers to distinguish users and sessions. Foxipa does not use Google Analytics for advertising or remarketing in the site configuration.

Foxipa honors the browser Do Not Track preference. When Do Not Track is enabled, the Google Analytics library is not loaded and no analytics data is collected for that visit.

On a first visit, a consent banner asks for your choice before analytics storage is used: accepting and declining are an equally easy one-click choice, nothing is stored before that choice, and the decision (kept locally under foxipa.consent.v1) can be changed at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser, which makes the banner reappear.

Foxipa does not currently sell personal information or provide learner profiles to advertisers. Technical information processed by the hosting provider or third-party services used to deliver site resources is subject to those providers’ own policies.

This policy may be updated when Foxipa adds features that materially change how information is handled. The date above identifies the current version.
